Our Staff Team

Kate has now had a little baby boy. Both Seth and family are doing great and some of the children have had the pleasure to meet baby Seth and have a cuddle. He’s very popular! Kate is missed by both children and staff and we hope to see her again soon.

The Roundabout team has undergone a few changes over the past couple of weeks. We now have two additional volunteers alongside ‘Nanna Sue’; Sinead and Claire. Both volunteers have settled in great and creating brilliant bonds with the children and staff. Welcome to the team!!!

Parents’ Evening was a great success and it was great to see a lot of parents and children attending. The feedback we received was all positive and it was great to meet you all and for you to go through your child’s development with their key worker. We are hoping to arrange another Parents’ Evening during the summer term before the majority of children leave Roundabout for school.

Thanks again to all staff and the Committee for all their support.

Coming up..........

Although we no longer follow strict ‘topics’ or ‘themes’ within the room (preferring to be led by children’s natural interests), we still aim to raise the children’s awareness of what is going on in our own country and around the world. Staff will continue to discuss people from around the world and as it is coming up to holiday season for some, it would be great if children could share their experiences with Roundabout.

During the summer term children will be involved in an ‘Alien Project’. The children will be taking the lead in this and staff have been chatting with the children about the different activities they would like to take part in and create themselves. We’ve had some great feedback from the children at our project meetings at circle time. Including; baking green cupcakes, dressing up as aliens, writing to the aliens, making a spaceship, etc. It would be great if you have any resources at home such as, boxes, paper, and foil etc for this project. Roundabout is hoping that children get as creative as possible throughout this term.

Whatever the weather......

Please can all parents and carers ensure that your children come to Roundabout with all the necessary kit! We play outside in all weathers and it is completely in the children’s hands when they go outside – wellies, gloves, hats and scarves, etc make the whole process more enjoyable for all concerned, and we don’t have a lot of spares! Please label all items clearly.

However, it will hopefully be getting warmer soon so can parents please ensure children have sun hats and sun lotion available.
