Roundabout Pre-School

Newsletter

September 2023

Dear parents and carers,

We would like to welcome back our children and staff and a very warm welcome to our new families. We hope you have enjoyed your summer and feel ready for the start of the autumn term.

Our staff team

By now you will have met Adele, the Manager of the pre-school, as well as Alissia, who is the Deputy. Sarah, Laura and Rebecca are Roundabout’s Early Years Practitioners.

Committee

Roundabout Pre-School is a community pre-school run as a registered charity by a committee of parent volunteers. We are regulated by Ofsted. The committee is responsible for budgets and financial decision-making. Meetings take place once every half term to discuss the running of Roundabout.

We have a chair, a treasurer, and a secretary. We also have a business manager, Maren, who takes care of financial and administrative tasks, legal requirements, and other business matters.

We hold an annual general meeting (usually in October/ November); this is open to all parents, as well as meeting the committee and getting an insight into their roles. If you would like to take a more active role in what happens at Roundabout, then being a member of the committee may be just for you. There are many different roles, but not all require a lot of time, such as helping with fundraising ideas. Why not come along and see for yourself? We will shortly be sending out details of our first committee meeting of the year and our AGM.  We would love to welcome any parents/carers to come and join us. If you have any questions before the first committee meeting, please do not hesitate to speak to Adele or the committee chair Rebecca Leo at rebeccajbristow@gmail.com.
