November & December 2023
Dear parents and carers,
Here is a brief rundown of Roundabout’s upcoming events for the rest of this year.
The week commencing 13th of November, we will raise funds for ‘Children in Need’. If you would like your child to participate, we are asking children to wear the following colours: Monday – yellow, Tuesday – blue, Wednesday – red, Thursday – green, Friday - orange.
We will sell a variety of buns on the 14th, 15th and 16th of November, which the children have decorated. The buns will be 30p each or five for £1. Please bring change with you.
On the 21st of November, Karen, our photographer, will come into the setting to take photos. If your child does not attend on this day and you would like professional photos of your child, please speak to Alissia - she will book you a time slot. Siblings can also attend for photos.
It is nearly that time of year again …
… and like in previous years, we have already been busy planning activities and events for your children. On Tuesday, the 19th of December we are going to have our Christmas party for all the children. Shake, Rattle and Boogie will entertain the children in the morning, and we will provide a party lunch. All dietary requirements will be adhered to; if you have any concerns, please see Adele. The children will have a visit from Santa, who will present them all with a gift. If your child does not attend on a Tuesday and you would like them to participate in the party, there will be a morning session charge for this. (Further details to follow.)
Roundabout is delighted to announce that we will invite parents to watch and join in our Christmas concert on the 20th of December (afternoon/ time to be confirmed). If you would like to attend the concert, it will be a “pay as you feel” event with a minimum of £1.50 per ticket per person. Please see Adele with the correct amount of money for how many tickets you would like. Upon arrival, you will get a song sheet, a mince pie, and a cup of mulled punch after the concert (alcohol-free). Further details of this event will be sent out nearer the time.
We are also planning a festive raffle. Any parents who would like to contribute to our raffle, please bring in any donations from the 7th of December. Tickets for this will be on sale from Monday 4th of December until the 13th of December. Raffle tickets will cost £1 per number and the raffle will be drawn on the 19th of December after the children’s concert. Please see Alissia for raffle tickets.
