January 2023
Happy New Year to all our families! We hope you all had a lovely break and stayed well throughout.
A special welcome to the families of our new children: Freya, Amelie, Amelia, Louie, Otis and Maria. The children have all either settled or are settling in really well when Mummy, Daddy, Nanna or Grandad have dropped them off, and they have already become a part of life at Roundabout.
The Christmas raffle was a great success, we raised £155 to go towards a three-dimensional easel. We would like to thank you all for your kind donations.
News from the Committee
You may be aware that our treasurer Hazel and our Secretary Felicity have asked to step down. Rhian and Stella have been elected to take on the role of Treasurer and Secretary respectively. We would like to thank Hazel and Felicity for their time and commitment not only while carrying out their duties throughout the year but also for ensuring the handover to Rhian and Stella. Beckie has agreed to stay on as Chair which is much appreciated.
The next Committee meeting will take place on Tuesday, 31 January 2023, 8 pm at Becki’s house (please email rebeccajbristow@gmail.com for the address). Roundabout is a parent-led community pre-school, so you are all welcome to join our meetings. You may not be able to come every time and commit to a particular role on the Committee, but your talent or professional experience may enrich life at Roundabout, so please come along and see what it is all about!
Areas of learning
The Roundabout team and I have been looking in depth at our areas of provision, and we are looking at starting to re-vamp them. If you have any of the following at home that you would like to donate, we would really appreciate this.
Box craft materials such as pom poms, lids, tissue paper, cereal/egg boxes paper straws, clipboards, dolls, dolls’ clothing, large circular curtain hooks and wooden clothes pegs.
